Product of the week Coogi sweater By Ayishat and Louize

 So I guess it isn’t news that the 90’s hip hop scene is the birthplace of some seriously dope fashions trends and items,  One of my personal favourites is the Coogi sweater.  Best known for its colourful knitwear Coogi was actually created in 1969 but gained special significance in the 90’s Hip-Hop scene sported by Jadakiss , Swiss Beatz and even Bill Cosby! For me it was Biggie that brought the brand to my attention with the famous line from Big Poppa- ‘However living better now, Coogi sweater now’ Better living it sure was as the Jumpers certainly aint cheap, if you can get your hands on a vintage one for 2010 major props as they seem to be pretty novelty these days, I will definitely be hunting for one for cruel weather thats rapidly approaching us!

Luckily a few brands are taking some inspiration from the Coogi aesthetic and producing their own versions at high street prices. Lets be real there are a select few of us that can shed out 3 bills on a jumper. Now in 2010- there’s a number of ways you can get this look, a lot cheaper too! First of there’s always forcing your nan too pull out those knitting needles and get creative with a markets stall worth of yarn, steal your uncles loudest Christmas jumper.. or you could just buy one i guess.. My favourite brands doing a Coogi insprired look in 2010 are
